A Big congratulations to Brandon Pirri a local Beach resident who just got drafted in the 2nd round of the NHL Draft 2009 to the Chicago Blackhawks. Brandon played this past year for the Georgetownraiders of the OPJHL on a line with one of Cross Roads Sports Academy Instructor Jordan So.

Boston University at Boston College – 12/06/08
Corey Trevino # 9 scores his first NCAA goal for Boston University. Trevino played his minor hockey for the Toronto Marlies and for Stoufville Spirits Jr. A. in the Ontario Provincial Hockey League before moving on to Boston Universtiy. Trevino helped BU enroute to the 2009 NCAA Division I National Championship. Watch #4 Tommy Cross of Boston College who was drafted in the 2nd round of the NHL Draft to the Boston Bruins. Cross went to Westminster Prep School in Connecticut along with two of Crossroads Sports Academy instructors Reid Acton and Jordan So. The three played together on Westminster’s Varsity I hockey team.

Shawn Johnson on Floor at Tyson American Cup
Shawn Johnson – what an incredible talent at age 15. World and Olympic Champion. We will have many teenagers working out with us at Crossroads Sports Academy. The key will not be in winning a gold medal at the Olympics. The key here is for us to be able to push and support our athletes to be the “best they can be”. And most importantly, the athletes will need to want to succeed more then we want it for them.
