Youth training and conditioning at Crossroads Sports. Core balance and stability is very important for many sports disciplines. Whether it’s for hockey, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, volleyball, track etc.
One of Toni Blay’s trademark is being able to demonstrate for her students each exercise she is teaching. Whether its cycling, body blasts or bootcamps – Toni’s classes are always interesting and challenging.
While some are still asleep or just rolling out of bed, Toni Blay will have already completed her 6:00 am session with her clients at Crossroads. Toni is an excellent trainer and communicator and her body camps, body blasts and cycling classes are excellent way to stay fit and keep in shape.
Mookie Morris played his minor hockey in the GTHL with Reid Acton and Jordan So. This young man has proved he has more skills then just putting a puck in the net. Morris was a Top 5 finalists on the television show Canadian Idol.
For parents with talented young athletes in hockey, lacrosse and their respective sports – please keep in mind some of these athletes have other talents as well. At Crossroads it is important for us to encourage and bring out some of these talents, so these kids can become well rounded individuals.
Some times we need to let kids just be kids and do some of the things they really enjoy doing.

Local Beach resident Reid Acton was a dual athlete who excelled in both hockey and lacrosse. Acton played his minor hockey in the GTHL for Leaside Kings AA, Toronto Young Nationals AAA and captained the Wexford Raiders Minor Midget team in his draft year and was drafted to the Windsor Spitfire of the Ontario Hockey League.
Acton played as a youth in the Beaches Lacrosse organization in houseleague, rep and at the Provincial level. He played both field and box lacrosse for the Beaches. He’s also played with Edge Lacrosse and has represented the Beaches Under 19 and Team Canada’s Men’s lacrosse team.
Over the years Acton has been a mentor and trained many of the young athletes who are now training at Crossroads Sports Academy and pursuing their own dreams in hockey and lacrosse.
Acton’s passion for the game of lacrosse has led him to a lacrosse scholarship at Loyola University a NCAA Division I School.
Crossroads would like to congratulate Acton and wish him all the success as he pursues his academic and athletic endeavors at Loyola.
