Reid Acton brings his toughness on to the field - the top right you will see Acton keeping a Princeton Attacker away from the net.
Local Beach resident Reid Acton was a dual athlete who excelled in both hockey and lacrosse. Acton played his minor hockey in the GTHL for Leaside Kings AA, Toronto Young Nationals AAA and captained the Wexford Raiders Minor Midget team in his draft year and was drafted to the Windsor Spitfire of the Ontario Hockey League.
Acton played as a youth in the Beaches Lacrosse organization in houseleague, rep and at the Provincial level. He played both field and box lacrosse for the Beaches. He’s also played with Edge Lacrosse and has represented the Beaches Under 19 and Team Canada’s Men’s lacrosse team.
Over the years Acton has been a mentor and trained many of the young athletes who are now training at Crossroads Sports Academy and pursuing their own dreams in hockey and lacrosse.
Acton’s passion for the game of lacrosse has led him to a lacrosse scholarship at Loyola University a NCAA Division I School.
Crossroads would like to congratulate Acton and wish him all the success as he pursues his academic and athletic endeavors at Loyola.
